WHO AM I
My name is Kendra Ferrier and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Washington. My current intended major will be in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology and after that i hope to earn a degree in nursing.
I grew up in Arlington, Washington, which is a small town north of Seattle. So far in my life I have traveled to Canada, Oregon, California, Arizona, and Cozumel, Mexico. I have never left the western coast of North America, but this summer i will be studying abroad in Berlin, Germany and then afterwards traveling to Italy, France, and the Netherlands.
With this blog i hope to document all of my adventures traveling as well as everything I learn during the research project for this study abroad program. The program is titled, "Reenacting German and American Identities" and has a central theme of identity construction as related to identity politics of nation-states and cultural and social groups in American and German Territories. I took two years of German in high school and loved learning about the language and culture, and i can't wait experience and learn about Germnay first hand.
